Our Values

Simplicity

We believe in using high-quality simple ingredients - flour, water, and salt - without any additives or shortcuts. Our dedication to quality guarantees that our sourdough bread is wholesome, nutritious, and packed with authentic flavor.

Community

We are committed to fostering meaningful relationships within our community. From sourcing locally, to engaging with our customers and community, we strive to create a sense of connection. Every loaf we bake brings people together, celebrating the shared joy of good food.

Tradition

We honor the centuries-old tradition of sourdough baking, using slow fermentation techniques and the simplest, natural ingredients to create bread with depth, character, and a rich, tangy flavor. Each loaf is fermented for over 36 hours to optimize nutrition, digestibility, and flavor.

Our Story

Hi, I’m Emilee, the bread baker behind Wild Crust Sourdough.

The seed that has now grown into this business was first planted during my childhood, when I spent countless afternoons wandering through my grandparents’ vegetable garden and berry fields. I didn’t fully realize the magic in those slow, simple moments and how they would inspire the path I’ve taken ever since.

Over the years, my journey has led me to explore and practice sustainable farming, health coaching, soap-making, and fermentation. Each of these experiences has deepened my passion for living a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. Sourdough bread, with its ancient roots and natural fermentation process, became a beautiful extension of that philosophy—a way to nourish not just the body, but also the soul.

Wild Crust Sourdough is my way of bringing those childhood moments of simplicity and connection back to the table. Every loaf is made with care, using only the finest ingredients: just flour, water, salt, and time. It’s a reminder that the best things in life often come from slowing down and appreciating the process.

Health, wellbeing, sustainability, and connection are the themes that continue to shape my life and my baking. I hope to share not just delicious sourdough bread, but also a deeper connection to the food we eat, the earth that provides it, and the communities that sustain us.

Thank you for being part of this journey, and I look forward to sharing the joy of sourdough bread with you!

Eat the good bread.
